WINTER 2022 DODGEBALL - SEASON 3

Dates/Times: All games will be played on Sunday afternoons between 12:00PM - 4:00PM (with the exception of February 13 which games will take place between 10:00AM - 2:00PM)

Facility: We have reserved Willis Athletic Complex located at 2520 Mock Rd, Columbus, OH 43219 for the upcoming season. Please remember: no alcohol, no smoking and no profanity is permitted on the premises.

League Description: Pending registration, Stonewall Sports - Columbus Dodgeball plans to offer two types of divisions, social and competitive. Divisions (and final number of teams per division) will be decided after registration closes and based on the selection made by the captain through a survey (provided after registration). Contingent on final numbers, there is the possibility that you will not play every team in your type of division.

The Social division is catered towards members who predominantly want to meet new players, members who are new to the league with not much exposure to the sport, and/or members who want a more casual experience.

The Competitive division is catered towards members who are looking for a challenge along with other high intensity players (new or returning members), members with more experience in the sport, and/or members with a more thorough comprehension of the rules.

Registration Cost: $37.50 per player, which includes your registered player t-shirt (see registration information section below). The league is open to all and those in need of a registration waiver can complete this form.

Registration Information: Registration for the Winter 2022 league is from Sunday, December 5, 2021 to Sunday, December 19, 2021; or when the league is full. 

  • A team is formed when 12 players register and pay. Each team may have up to 16 players. Any team that does not have the required 12 registered players when registration closes will either be 1) assigned free-agents to bring them up to the minimum team requirement, 2) combine with another team that did not reach the minimum team requirement, 3) disband and be re-assigned as free agents to other registered teams in the form of small groups, or 4) forfeit their spot in the league and receive a refund for their registration. These options will be determined by the final number of total players and teams once registration closes and is at the discretion of the sports directors. If we have an odd number of teams, we will have to make major changes to teams to accommodate everyone.
  • Captains: If you plan on being the captain of a team, you will need to register first and then have players register under your team name. An email will be sent once you have signed up with additional team information and responsibilities as a captain. Captains and Co-Captains are also required to attend the Captain's meeting on Sunday, January 9, 2022 - details to come.
  • Players:

I plan to create a team: If you plan to create a team you will need to register as a team captain (see above). Then you can tell your friends to register as a team player and join your team. To become one of the official new teams, you must register 12 players.

I plan to join a team: If you already know with which team you are going to play on, you will need to register as a team player. Keep in mind that you can't randomly join any team; captains may ask that a player be removed from their team prior to the close of registration. Captains can email the dodgeball leadership team to move a player from their team, but only after the captain has communicated with the player first and explained why. 

I want to play but I don't have a team: That's fantastic! This league is about making new friends and building community. Register as a free agent, or if you have a small group of friends, create a "small group" and we will do our best to place you all together! We will host an event called the Player Social if enough free agents have registered. This social event is for registered free agents to meet other players, teams and captains, and find a team that you might like to join. At the social you may request to be placed on a team.

COVID-19 Intake Form: In accordance with Stonewall Sports Inc., moving forward, in order to participate in any future sports or social events offered through Stonewall Sports, all registered individuals will be required to provide proof they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 test. There will be three accepted methods for relaying this information to the organization: 1) Players can choose to upload proof of vaccination using a Google Form during registration. 2) Players can choose to show proof of vaccination to a designated member of the Board, or 3) Players can choose to present a negative COVID-19 test prior taken within 72-hours of any scheduled game or event they plan to participate. Failure to fulfill any of these requirements will result in a player being ineligible to participate in any sport or event. Eligibility will be re-established once one of the three requirements is appropriately met. To ensure participant confidentiality, only select members of the Board will have access to this information. These options will become available once registration is live.
